1.Who can participate in the competition?

Any Indian Engineering students pursuing UG or PG courses in either NIT / IIT / IISc or equivalent or from an institute recognized by AICTE/NAAC and led by a senior faculty from the same college/ institute/ university.


2. Can the participation be individual or as a team only?

Participants can participate as a team only with total no. of members varying from 3 (minimum) to 5 (maximum) including team leader.

4. Will DRDO fund for making the models, transportation of models/prototype, conveyance and stay of the participants?

No. All the participating teams will have to bear all the above expenses.


5. What will be the venue for exposition for 2nd and 3rd level of screening ?

Second level of screening shall be at six respective zonal centers. Refer instructions for details. Instructions
Third level screening will be at DRDO HQr, Rajaji Marg, New Delhi.


6. Is there any registration fee required?

Yes. Registration fee is Rs. 500/- (Rs Five Hundred Only) per team.


7. What is the prize money/award?

The first prize is Rs. 1.50 lakhs (Rs One Lakh Fifty Thousand Only), second prize Rs. 1.0 Lakhs (Rs One Lakh Only), and the third prize is Rs. 0.50 Lakh (Rs Fifty Thousand Only).

8. Can a team withdraw the entry at any time?

Yes, any team can withdraw at any time during the entire event. But the registration fee will not be refunded in this case.


9. Can more than one team participate in DRUSE from a college/institute/university?

Yes, more than one Team can participate from a college/ institute/ university but the team leader and team members' should not overlap in case of multiple teams & should be distinct.


10. Can participants from other college/institute/university be in one team?

No, Refer to Terms and Conditions (No-7), Multi- institute participation is not allowed.


11. What is the procedure to participate in DRUSE?

Refer to ‘Eligibility’ Page, only Indian engineering students presently pursuing UG or PG and led by a senior faculty can participate in DRUSE.

12. How to prepare the technical proposal? Is there any format?

Yes, Refer to 'Eligibility' Page, In format of proposal, there are two Parts, Part-A is Abstract and questionnaire and Part-B will be the technical proposal.


13. Can a team submit more than one idea?

No, One team can submit one idea/proposal only. So you have to choose the best idea amongst yourself that suits best in the area of defence applications.


14. Can a team submit an idea for more than one theme?

No, One team can submit one idea/proposal for one theme only, if your idea is combination of two themes then you may submit your idea under theme 14.


15. Can we come as an audience to see the exhibition, and what is the registration fees for this?

Yes, you can come as an audience, however there is no fees for this.
